10 weeks!

Time is dragging over here and I think it is because of this lovely little symptom called ALL DAY SICKNESS!  In my world there is no such thing as morning sickness.  Other than this all day sickness things are going good with baby and I.

Baby Time!

So…uhh…looks like it’s baby time over here!

Kyle and I couldn’t be more excited for our new addition that will be here in 9ish months!  My due date is April 4th, 2012! Ahhhh…crazy!  I already have a great doctor and he only delivers at a certain hospital so that is already decided.  April is so perfect here in Nashville...no snow, warmer weather but not humid yet…PERFECT!

It’s time to start researching baby girl and baby boy nursery ideas, thinking of possible names and reading about what we are going to be going through for the next 9ish months…I need to be prepared! =)

Some books that have been recommended to me so far:

Belly Laughs – done!

What to Expect When Expecting

Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy

It’s time to get busy!

Wedding Bells!

The summer wedding season has begun! Come June we have been having friends and/or family getting married every month.  Since we live in the middle of nowhere (just kidding, sort of) we had to pick which events we were going to.  We decided to go to Idaho for Kelsey’s wedding this month!  Kelsey is Kyle’s cousin that we don’t get to see all that much.  Most of the Anthony family lives in Idaho so we don’t get to see them as often as we would like.  Kyle’s Aunt Laurie was also there visiting and I had never met her before so that was great!

It was great being able to just relax and spend time with family.  Cole’s family was also able to make the trip up there so it was great to see them and the kids.  Elizabeth and Nathan are getting so big and they are getting the cutest personalities.

On Friday we went to the wedding at the Idaho Falls Temple.  It was beautiful!  Saturday was the reception in the botanical garden and it was great!  The weather turned out to be perfect even though the clouds were a little scary looking! =)

The weekend flew by and we had a blast!  Our flight home didn’t go as planned (thank you mother nature)but we made it!

Ripley Visit

Kyle’s family is great about visiting us regardless of where we are living.

When we were in Colorado they visited us 3 or 4 times.  It was awesome!  We haven’t been in Tennessee long and they already made a trip out here.  They stayed with us for a week and there was a lot of good eating, sightseeing and hanging out!

When people come to visit us Kyle is the best about “showing people around”.  He will show you every place we have eaten, nice overlooks and possible celebrity homes!  Exciting, right? =)

We made a few trips to Nashville since we are only about 10 minutes away to go to The Pancake House, Broadway Street, Cumberland River, The Parthenon, Gaylord Hotel and the Grand Ol’ Opry.   We also took a day trip to Alabama which was a great time!

We had heard some amazing things about The Pancake House so that was one of the first places that we headed too.  The line wasn’t as bad as it normally was…it took us about 25ish minutes…and like I said, that isn’t bad.  The food was amazing and I am sure Kyle and I will be returning the next time we want a sugar high. =)

Broadway Street in Nashville is always an experience.  Kyle and I had been several times before and there is always something going on.  Tons of live music (in every bar and street corner), Elvis wanna-be’s and tons of people just roaming the streets.  It’s great for people watching!  You might even get to see these famous dogs like we did...

Can you spot the dog? =)

The Cumberland River is really close to Broadway so once we were done wondering around Broadway we headed over to look at the river.  This ‘river’ is rather large and there are always boats/little ships taking people of dinner cruises for the night.

The Parthenon was awesome!  It is a replica of the Parthenon in Athens.  I didn’t know anything about it but I am glad that Joan did some research.  We got to take a tour and take a good amount of pictures.

It was everyone’s first time going to the Gaylord Hotel as well as the Grand Ol’ Opry.  We had such a great night.  I had tickets to see several musicians at the Grand Ol’ Opry but decided to stop by the Gaylord Hotel for dinner and to do some wondering around.  Kyle and I had heard that there was a ton of stuff to do inside the hotel so we were pretty excited.  This hotel wasn’t like any hotel that I have ever seen.  There were shops, restaurants, waterfalls and performers all over.  It felt like a different world! After dinner we walked over to the Grand Ol’ Opry where we got to hear several country musicians perform.  We all had a great time!

We also went for a walk/hike around Radnor Lake here in Brentwood.   Kyle and I had heard about how pretty it was but we had never been before.  We got the opportunity to take a lot of great pictures and see some wildlife!

To end the trip, we took a day road trip to Alabama.  Jay had served part of his mission in Alabama so we went to church there on Sunday morning.  The ward was very small but the people were so kind.  Jay even got to talk to some of the members!  Some of them he knew there extended families or someone knew someone he once knew.  Get it!? =)

Overall, it was a great trip!  We had a lot of fun having them in town and being able to show them all around a new home.

Stay at home wifey...no longer...

That’s right; I am a working woman now!

Kyle has been supporting me (hehe) and I haven’t minded getting settled and pretty much doing whatever, whenever I want.  Being a stay at home wife really isn’t bad…at all! =)

When we first moved here to Tennessee I told myself that I wasn’t going to settle for the first job opportunity that came up, unless I was positive that it was perfect for me.  Well..let’s just say that I am SOOO glad that I didn’t settle after my first interview/offer.  Being in the dental field it is important that you find an office that you know you will be happy at, that was the most important thing to me…being happy.  Now, I was happy at my old office in Colorado but I had heard some not so great stories and I didn’t want to be stuck in an ugly situation.

Anyways, I have found the best office! The office is super close to our house which is great.  The people are AMAZING!  The Dr. is so kind and wonderful.  I am super lucky that I only have to work 4 days a week.  I LOVE it!

It’s a great feeling when you are happy and excited about going to work!

Franklin Farmers Market on Saturday Mornings

Farmers Markets are awesome! For the past month and a half or so I have been going to the farmers market and just love it.  To me, it is the perfect way to start my weekend mornings. Kyle went with me one time and wasn't overly thrilled. I will be dragging him out again one weekend morning soon since every weekend there is more and more to do and see.

I love all the locals getting together to sell their homegrown and homemade goodies.  There is so variety and options. I love just strolling around seeing what is new every week.  In the town we live in the market is pretty awesome! I can say that I have been to a few markets that are just no good, where everything is just thrown together and no one seems to care.  Not this one, there are super friendly people and everyone seems to be so welcoming.

Since we are still in May (just barely) all the farmers markets seem to just be getting good.  There is not a TON of fruit and veggies just yet since it is not technically summer yet.  I am so excited to see all the summer fruit and veggies in just a few weeks…they are coming! Mounds and mounds of goodness!

Just livin'...

Not much going on over here in Nashville.  Life is good right now.  Kyle and I both just feel like time is flying by.  Mid May already...insane! Summer is just about here and that is when all the craziness will begin.  Starting in July(ish) is when our traveling starts, luck us.  Being that we moved far far away from family we are the ones that get to travel..boo!!

Here's what our summer/fall/winter months will look like:

June/July - Jay, Joan and Jason are coming to visit! Woohoo!  They will be our first visitors.

July - Idaho for a wedding (hopefully).

September - California for a wedding.  Danny (Kyle's bff, haha) is getting married on Kyle's birthday!

November - Utah for Thanksgiving.

December - California for Christmas.

Hopefully somewhere in there we will be having our own little getaways.  Being that we now live in Nashville there are so many awesome spots that we want to see.

The weather down here in the South is a bit interesting/freakish/crazy.  =)  Being that we lived in CO for a little over 2 years we learned the sound of tornado sirens.  What a beautiful sound...no, not really.  It is more annoying and frightening than anything else.  Well, here in Nashville (as of late) we had been hearing sirens pretty much every week, if not several days in a row.  Nice, huh?  I guess that is the South for ya. =)
