Our First Visit to Nashville!

Back in February, Kyle and I went to Nashville for the weekend to see where we wanted to live. (We still lived in Parker at that time.) Kyle's work paid for the trip which was awesome!  We had no clue where to live since neither of us had ever been to Nashville.  We knew that we wanted to be close to the city but not in the city and we knew that we wanted to be close to Kyle's work.  We ended up finding a little place in Brentwood/Franklin which is about 10-15 minutes south of Nashville.  It is a great area that is historic yet developing very quickly...perfect.  Kyle's work is only 10 minutes away and we are located close to everything, which is just what we wanted.

Anyways, back to us visiting in February.  The weekend flew by.  We were busy seeing different locations, houses and apartments as well as.....grubbin' on some food!  Nashville is known to have some good BBQ so Kyle and I were on a mission.  We had heard that there was an awesome well known place in downtown Nashville so that was where we headed.  The line was outrageously long which stinked since it was raining out side but that was a sign that the food was awesome...so we waited.  It was worth the wait.  The food was awesome and I am sure we will go back.

By the end of the weekend we were pooped!  It was a great trip since we found out where exactly we wanted to live and we also found a place to live.  Score!

Overall, great first time in Nashville!

  1. If you like barbeque, you HAVE to go to Martin's BBQ in Nolensville. It's probably not too far from where you live. It's by far the best in town.
