39 weeks and weekly happenings...

I’m still here!! I can honestly say that at this point I would rather be feeding Parker, changing diapers and listening to crying!  Crazy, huh?  I’m sure I will take that comment back soon enough but at this very moment that is how I feel. ;) I am also getting a lot of random strangers feeling the need to share really personal stories and tips/comments with me!  That's been fun..haha.

Just a few:

"You just wait, when you are in labor it is going to feel like the worst gas ever!"

Good to know!

"You should make your husband chase you with the car, that'll do it!"

Um, no thank you!

"I doubt your going to make it through the day!"

Little did that person know that I was just told baby is up high and I have made no progress.

Thank you random strangers for your input!!

This week has actually flown by! I have been cooking, cleaning, organizing and playing a lot with Ms. Xena!  Xena will always be mine and Kyle’s first baby. ;) Since things are going to change in her world very soon too I thought it would be a good idea to get her out and pay a little more attention to her.  She is a very needy spoiled dog.

We have also been resting while we can!

My weekly appointment went pretty well…except for the no progress part.  Little Parker is still up pretty high but I am told could change at any time so for now, we wait! This weekend is going to include a lot of walking, eating spicy food and of course, relaxation!

  • How far along? 39 weeks 2 days! Who’s counting? ;)
  • Total weight gain: Up.
  • Maternity clothes?  Of course!  I am also borrowing Kyle’s t-shirts on a daily basis.
  • Stretch marks? Sadly, yes!
  • Sleep: Terrible!  It is so hard to move and get comfy.  Kyle has been such a trooper for putting up with me tossing and turning all throughout the night.
  • Miss Anything? Sleep.
  • Movement: Yes!  This kid is crazy. ;) Does he care if he is kick boxing my ribs??? Nope!
  • Food cravings: Sweets.
  • Food aversions: Nothing!
  • Gender: BOY.
  • Labor Signs: Nothing still!  Little Parker is way too comfy in there.
  • Symptoms: Still TERRIBLE carpal tunnel but other than that everything is to be expected.
  • Belly Button in or out? In.
  • Wedding rings on or off? Off.
  • Looking forward to: Meeting Parker!  Spending the weekend with Kyle…you never know, maybe it’ll  be our last weekend all alone!? ;) (I hope!)
Fun fact from our pregnancy journal:

The bones in your baby's skull are able to slide over each other and overlap so his head can pass through the birth canal without being damaged.

Large and in charge...38 weeks!

Did I just type that right…38 weeks!!?? Time is flying by!  I have been off of work for a week now and the entire house is spotless! =)  Nesting is a real thing ladies and gentlemen! I say ladies and gentlemen because Kyle is nesting just as much as I am.  It is pretty funny actually.  This last weekend Saturday was spent washing the baseboards and vacuuming every single inch of our home.  I must say, he did an amazing job!

I still have a list of things that I would like to do before Parker makes his appearance and from my doctor’s appointment this week it looks like someone is taking his time.  Parker is still head down but is up pretty high still and I am not dilated or effaced AT ALL!  Seems to me like things are a little too comfy in there for our little guy.  ;)

No picture this week...your welcome!
  • How far along? 38 weeks.
  • Total weight gain: Up...lost count.
  • Maternity clothes?  Yes…what’s after maternity clothes because these clothes are barely working, haha.
  • Stretch marks? Sadly, yes!
  • Sleep: Terrible…I have resorted to the sofa this week!
  • Miss Anything? Being able to sleep.
  • Movement: Yes...it’s getting painful.
  • Food cravings: Nothing really.
  • Food aversions: Nothing!
  • Gender: BOY.
  • Labor Signs: Nope. Nada. Nothing.
  • Symptoms: Sore feet and TERRIBLE carpal tunnel.  Who knew carpal tunnel is an actual pregnancy symptom?
  • Belly Button in or out? In.  I don’t think it will ever be out at this point.
  • Wedding rings on or off? Off.
  • Looking forward to: Parker making his arrival when he is ready!

Parker's Nursery

The nursery is officially done!  We are now just waiting for our little man to arrive so we can put everything to good use.

View from the door.

Randomness. Shoes. Toys. Sound and light machines.

Above the changing table.

Glider.

Printables - framed.

Customized bedding from Etsy.com.

Parker Kyle Anthony - letters above his crib - done my me.

Mobile above crib custom from Etsy.com.

Overall, I am really happy with how the nursery turned out.  I had a hard time deciding if I wanted to go with a theme or just an overall color theme.  Now that all is said and done, I am really happy that I went with a color theme.

Offically a Stay at Home Momma!

That's right, today was my last day of work!  Although I am beyond excited to have the next few weeks to myself preparing and getting things ready for my crazy life that is about to change, I am sad!  The office I worked at was the BEST!  No kidding.  The doctor was amazing and I LOVED the girls that I worked with.  Leaving was definitely bittersweet.  Luckily, I live right down the street from the office so I know I will be making several trips for everyone to see Parker.

Being a stay at home mom is something that I have always wanted. Kyle and I have talked for years now about me staying at home with our kid(s).  I am just so thankful that I am actually able to do so.  Kyle has made all of this possible for us and for that I am forever thankful.

Tomorrow starts my 'new life' of cleaning, cooking and running errands!! =)
